Nahid divulged the information at a meeting on the introduction of the CQ method for the students of Dhakil, HSC, and Alim tests in 2016 and 2017, held at his office in the secretariat in the capital.

“What we have done over the last five years is not enough. We have to do something better. If we want to do better we have to whip up our creative thought. We have to be skilled in modern technology. Old thoughts, activities, and skills are not enough. Do something new,” he said.

He further said that the people’s aspirations have been increased for the development in education over the last five years and they now demand an increase in the quality of education.

He also directed the education ministry, officers of different directorates and branches, education boards, and officers of National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) to come out of the old circle of thought and to conduct new activities for the development of education.

The CQ method was introduced in the country in 2012 and continued until 2014 in the HSC exam for 15 subjects (12 in HSC and 3 in Alim). Questions are prepared for 29 subjects in the CQ method in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination.
