Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid visited the Motijheel Ideal School and College centre in Dhaka on Thursday.

The theoretical exams will end on June 5, while practicals are scheduled to begin on June 7 and continue till June 16.

The minister said the results will be published within 60 days of the completion of the exams.

The exam, which was scheduled for Thursday, was deferred following reports of question paper leak.

HSC candidates and those enrolled for Diploma in Business Studies were to sit for their English Second Paper test.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid told reporters on Thursday afternoon that another seven-member probe committee had been formed with the ministry’s Additional Secretary Sohrab Hossain as in charge, to find the guilty.

The committee would investigate the allegations and make specific recommendations, Nahid said. It would also recommend security measures to be taken to secure question papers of all public exams under the ministry.

“We won’t show any lenience. This will not be tolerated,” the minister said.

Earlier a five-member probe committee headed by Dhaka board's Secretary Abdus Salam Hawlader was formed.

The HSC and equivalent examinations began across the country on Apr 3.
