Like previous years this year an admission test will be held for MBBS & BDS course students session 2012-13. Last year there a problem arose about medical & dental admission test. This year there is no doubt about medical admission test. DGHS has already confirmed it by a legal notice in April 2014. Soon DGHS will publish medical admission circular.

When Medical Admission Notice 2014 Will Be published?

Medical Admission Test 2014 Notice for admission test will be happen the old system. In this year also continue the earlier or old system of admission tests of MBBS and BDS courses in the medical and dental colleges in the country. The government decided to continue medical and dental admission test 2014 in view of widespread support for the admission system. So medical admission test 2014 stay this year.

On April 10, 2014 Health Minister Dr. A.F.M.Ruhal Haque said that the government decided to continue with admission tests for admission to the medical and dental colleges in the country. Principals of various medical colleges suggested retention of the medical admission test, and leaders of the Bangladesh Medical Association and the Bangladesh Private Medical Practitioners Association also supported it.

Earlier the government initially scrapped the MBBS and BDS admission test, but had to restore it following a court order, followed by student protests.

Requirement for Medical Admission test 2014:

1.    Students must be Bangladeshi Citizen.

2.    Students who have passed the SSC / Equivalent Exam before 2009 need not to Apply.

3.    Students who have passed the HSC / Equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in 2011 and 2012.

4.    Total GPA 8.0 in SSC and HSC and GPA 3.5 in each of SSC and HSC and minimum GPA 3.50 in Biology.

5.    Hill Districts and Tribal candidates must have total GPA 7.0 in SSC and HSC and GPA 3.0 in each of SSC and HSC and minimum GPA 3.50 in Biology.

6.    For GCE: 05 (best five) Subjects in O-Level and 03 (three) subjects (Biology, Chemistry & Physics) in A-level. Must submit Equivalency Certificate from Health Department by depositing Tk. 1000/-

Total Marks: 200

•    100 marks form SSC & HSC GPA (SSC GPAX8= 40 & HSC GPA X12= 60)

•    Another 100 marks (MCQ) will be written test (Physics-20, Chemistry-25, Biology-30, English-15 & General Knowledge-10)

•    0.25 marks will be minus for each wrong answer.

Bangladesh Medical College MBBS Admission Notice 2014-2015. The latest news for the Medical Admission 2013 is students have to give the medical admission exam! Proposal of admission on the basis of GPA has been rejected. Like last year the conventional system of taking students for medical admission has been proposed.  Last Sunday, 24th March 2013 the health ministry made the decision.

Applicants are invited for Admission to the First Year MBBS class of Bangladesh Medical College, Dhanmondi for the academic session of  2011-12.

According to Private Medical College admission notice published by the Director General Health Services with Merit Score 120 and above. For foreign students admission as per guidelines of DGHS. Applications forms will be available in the College office from 16th October, 2011 to 24th October 2011 from 8:30 am to 2 pm on payment of Tk 1000/- in cash. Forms will also be available on Friday 21st October 8:30 am to 12 noon.
Last date of submission is 25th October, 2011. List of eligible candidates will be published on 26th October, 2011 at 3 pm. through BMC website and notice board of the college and also through Newspaper to be published next Morning.
 
Many of the students and parents are concerned about the medical admission. They don’t know still the admission exam will happen or not! Director General of Health “Professor Dr. Khandaker Md. Sifayet Ullah, principals of government and non-government medical colleges, Deans of Dhaka University is present in this meeting. In meeting, most of the senior members have given their opinion about taking the admission exam for medical admission 2013. They rejected the proposal of GPA based intake of students of medical.
Last year health minister AFM Ruhul hoque has declared to take the medical admission on the basis of GPA of SSC and HSC. After hearing the decision the students protest against the decision. On pressure the government authority become compelled to change the decision. They revert back to their old decision on taking of the students on basis of medical admission.

The Last Step: Decision should be approved by Ministry of Health

Still Medical Admission 2013 has not been confirmed that the Exam will happen. Professor Dr. Khandaker Md. Sifayet Ullah will send a summary of their meetings to the health ministry. Then the Health ministry of Bangladesh will take the Final Decision about taking the Medical Admission exam for 2013 – 2014.
The Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) Act 010 -5 Section 5 sub-section, the references clearly state that the all decision about all the higher studies in sectors of medical.

Requirement for Admission Test of Jagannath University (JnU) 2013-2014:

•             The students who have passed SSC or equivalent exams in 2010/2011 and H.S.C. or equivalent examinations in 2012/2013 to eligible to apply.

•             The students of Science, Business Education, Vocational, Diploma in Business Studies, Diploma in Commerce and Diploma in Business Management who have obtained GPA totaling at least 7.50 and 7.0 in others (excluding fourth or additional subject) in their S.S.C. and H.S.C. or equivalent examinations are eligible to apply for admission.

•             Applicant should have minimum GP 3.0 in subjects English both in SSC/equivalent and HSC/ equivalent.

•             G.C.E. Students: Students who have passed at least 5 subjects including minimum 3 subjects C grade at the O Level Examinations, and at least 2 subjects C grade at the A level examinations on 2010/2011 are eligible to apply.
